Photo Strip Description

The photo strip layout displays thumbnail versions of your digital photos in a scrollable horizontal or vertical strip that looks a strip of film. You can specify the spacing between the thumbnail images. The photo strip is launched from a full size Web page window and typically will be positioned above or to the side of the window that it was launched from. When your Website visitor clicks on a thumbnail image in the photo strip, a larger version of the image is displayed in window that the photo strip was launched from. This is much smoother than clicking a thumbnail, watching the larger image replacing the main page, clicking the back button, etc. The end of the photo strip contains a "home" button. Clicking the "home" button will reload the Web page that the photo strip was initially launched from. It's actually much simpler than it sounds. Take a look at the example. You'll see.

Alternate Frames Version

Netscape Navigator or Communicator versions 3.0 and up, and Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and up should handle the JavaScript popups fine. By most estimates, this accounts for over 80% of Web browser demographics. However, since it is important that ALL your Web page visitors get a positive experience, the software always creates the frames version as a fallback. When you select the photo strip style, the file containing the links to the photo strips has a link at the bottom of the page that says "If this page misbehaves, try this non-JavaScript frames version." This alternate version is a Frames style photo gallery used as a fallback, for the small number of people running older browsers.
